Two Things You Must Do to Become a Millionaire
SECRET #1
If you want to be a millionaire, you need to think like a millionaire. This does not mean that you should watch millionaires to figure out how they think. Instead, it means reading what they write. It means asking them questions. It means learning how they make decisions.
SECRET #2
Similarly, if you want to be a millionaire, you need to act like a millionaire. This means imitating their behaviors and actions. You need to watch and play monkey-see, monkey do. Watch and then act.
So, you must not guess at what millionaires are thinking. You need to listen and ask and read if you want to know their minds. Don’t watch and guess. Read, question, and dig.
And, you must act how they act. You must take risks like they do. You must see who they are with, where they go, how they talk, and when they strike.
You really need to pay attention to the subtle differences I’m talking about here. You should not necessarily take action based on what a millionaire says. Instead, you want to understand how they have made the decision to tell you to action.
Example: “Why does that millionaire think now is the right time?â€
And, when a millionaire takes action, you can’t know what they are thinking unless you ask. If a millionaire starts spending time and energy on internet marketing videos, for example, then you should act that way too, and also ask questions about the actions.
Never guess. Never assume.
To think like a millionaire, you need to understand their logic. You need to dig, and dig, and dig some more. You simply cannot understand the thinking of a millionaire by their actions alone. And, you cannot understand the actions of a millionaire by just listening to them.
I’ll summarize another way:
- Millionaire actions teach you how to act.
- Millionaire writing and speaking teach you how to think.
But…
- Millionaire actions don’t teach you millionaire thinking.
- Millionaire writing and speaking does not teach you how to act like a millionaire.
What I’m telling you is that you can’t transfer one type of knowledge to another domain when it comes to understanding millionaire wealth.
Let’s look at Donald Trump to better understand these concepts.
What Trump writes and what he says tells you how he thinks, but it doesn’t tell you much about why he really deals with real estate. You won’t learn to be a savvy real estate investor by listening to Trump.
On the other hand, if you literally watch what Trump is doing with real estate – you watch his transactions – you will learn a lot about making savvy real estate deals. But, you won’t learn much about how Trump really thinks about real estate, only how he acts and makes money.
Become a millionaire by thinking how they think and acting like they act.
