When You Should Buy PLR

Posted on May 2nd, 2008 in Advice, Links, PLR, PLR Club, Simple | No Comments »

When you buy private label rights content (known as “PLR”) you’re buying the work that someone else has done. You’re buying their efforts, their time, their brainpower. You’re not just buying words.

But, many people think that’s what PLR is all about — just getting content. But really, that is just plain wrong. You need to rethink this because, to tell the complete truth…

PLR is equivalent to outsourcing. You’re buying their work; the research that someone else has done ahead of time for you in a niche. It’s that domain knowledge, and the time invested in the topic, that really matters with PLR. That’s the true value. That’s the core of any PLR that you buy. (TIP: “Is Free PLR Good?“)

I want to tell you exactly what kind of PLR you should purchase right now. I don’t think anyone has covered this topic this way previously. Stephen Wagenheim touched on this when he talked about PLR and outsourcing (”PLR is Outsourcing on the Cheap“), but he didn’t talk about what kind of PLR to buy based on the outsourcing concept.

This is really important. If you just buy and buy, you’ll end up with hard drive full of PLR content. You won’t really know why you bought all that content and you probably wasted a lot of money. (TIP: “PLR Articles — How to Use Them“)

Well, we’ve really beaten that to a pulp. Let’s refocus and consider when you should buy PLR. Below you’ll see special tips that I’ve previously only given to my best customers. Feel free to refer other people to this blog entry; help others.

You should by PLR under the four following conditions…

Number One: You should buy PLR when you do not have any knowledge about a niche. That means, outsource what you are not good at. Buy PLR when you’re clueless on a topic. You’ll quickly get smart in that niche. PLR is a shortcut to advanced knowledge, assuming you’re able to purchase or otherwise acquire PLR that is of good quality. (TIP: Read The PLR Model Blog)

Number Two: You should buy PLR when you can’t make money. What I mean is that there are times when it’s more cost effective to simply buy PLR to help your customers. For example, if your customers keep asking how to set up a WordPress blog, you might not be able to make any money from it. So, you could purchase PLR that clearly explains how to get the job done. Cheap, effective, and gets the job done. It also drives up customer satisfaction and loyalty; no problem.

Number Three: You should buy PLR when you do not enjoy a topic. If you don’t have passion about a topic, it’s very likely to show through. You’ll be exposed! Also, if you get frustrated with something and therefore you don’t enjoy it, you’re not going to be able to create a good product for your customers. Simply grab some PLR and your problems go away.

Number Four: You should buy PLR when you realize you’re wasting time. Anytime you’re generating any sort of content whether it be for your website, blog or new report you’re working on, you should start with PLR. Remember, you’re buying brainpower. (TIP: “PLR – Why You’ve Just Gotta Have It“) The research that someone else has done can be found very often in rock solid PLR articles, PLR reports, e-books. In other words, PLR is a shortcut to knowledge.

Here’s the recap. PLR is just like outsourcing. If you lack knowledge, when you don’t have high ROI for your effort, when you’re burned-out or dislike a topic, or when you’re just plain wasting time, you need to consider purchasing PLR.

I’ll wrap up by saying that buying poor quality PLR is a bigger waste of time and energy than doing the work yourself. You need to know exactly how to find and review PLR. More importantly, you need to know how to evaluate PLR before you even buy it — yes, we clearly explain exactly how to do this inside PLR Exploitation.

How to Convert PLR into Something Unique in 10 Minutes without Re-Writing

Posted on April 17th, 2008 in Advice, PLR, PLR Club, Simple | No Comments »

A lot of people don’t understand PLR. So, let me give you some helpful links to get the party started. Seriously, the blog entries I point to below are worth reading. All of them. And don’t worry there’s no pressure here. There’s no selling in these blog entries, got it? I’m pointing you to pure content.

With that introduction…

If you want to understand PLR, also known as Private Label Rights, simply head over to the PLR Model blog. You’ll get your head around PLR in very little time. I promise. Let me prove it; read these entires. Then we’ll get down to business, OK?

Well, there’s plenty more to learn over at the PLR Model blog. And don’t miss the main PLR Model site. We’re giving you access to a free video all about the *true* value of PLR. That’s something you don’t want to miss.

So that’s out of the way, now it’s time to talk about converting PLR into something unique without any re-writing. If you think it cannot be done, then you’re in for something very special. And, once I explain the idea, you’ll better understand what I was talking about in the PLR Model video.

Here’s the secret in just three words: Unique Selling Proposition

You can sell a product very well by talking about a big list of features plus the benefits. However, killer sales almost always come by highlighting a single benefit above all other benefits. As multi-millionaire Michael Masterson has stated, “When this benefit can be presented as uniquely characteristic of your product, you have an advertising proposition that can last and last and last.”

You simply need to establish something unique about the PLR product you own and you can stand above everyone else. You don’t have to re-write anything at all. You simply need to explain something very special about the PLR you own. You need to cast it in a new light, or explain it in a way that no others have done before.

This might simply mean advertising the product in a new way, in a new medium. Or, it might be more robust. You might explain a benefit that no one else has ever pointed out, which you can then exploit for maximum gain. Remember, this takes no re-writing unless you wish to tweak your PLR.

By the way, you can do two things to make your PLR product stand out as unique and 100% fresh. Literally make it unique in some way: add graphics, add a new introduction, re-write content. This obvious works as we’ve clearly explained inside PLR Exploitation.

You can also use a “Jedi Mind Trick” to make your product unique. That is, you just need to make the product seem better to other people. This is the power of finding your Unique Selling Proposition (USP). The USP can be completely based on perceptions. This requires one thing from you: brainpower. You’ve got that, for sure.

So, that is how to convert PLR into something unique and profitable with very little work, and often no re-writing. You’re creating PLR gold out of thin air while others are off in a dark mine digging for it. Working very hard in fact.

That’s all for now. Remember, if you want to learn more about PLR, then you owe it to yourself to watch the free PLR Model video. I promise there’s not a sales pitch. It’s all very low key. Simple stuff.

How to Use Private Label Rights

Posted on March 28th, 2008 in Advice, Free Business Model, Links, PLR Club, Strategies | 1 Comment »

If you’ve spent any time in internet marketing then you’ve seen the term “PLR” being used. In plain terms, PLR stands for private label rights. PLR is about the rights and privileges that you have as an owner of content. That is, if you have PLR, you are allowed to use the content as you wish.

Of course, there are a few exceptions. For example, you might not be able to re-sell the PLR content as PLR. You might not have 100% unrestricted PLR.

But don’t worry about that right now…

In plain terms, when you purchase PLR you’re buying the rights to use the content any way you want. You can put your name on the content and call it your own. You can break it into many pieces. You can combine a ton of PLR together to create a monster product. You can re-write and submit the content to article directories. With PLR, you have the right to really go crazy.

Now, here’s something special to keep in mind. If know what you’re doing with PLR, you can literally make hundreds of dollars per day doing very little work. It might be as simple as setting up an autoresponder membership. In other cases, it might just be a little re-writing then loading up your blog.

The point is that PLR translates to a shortcut. If you know what you’re doing, you can easily get top quality PLR for dirt cheap. For example, The Rhodes Brothers provide content and sales letters through the Simple PLR Club. We also have a special discount for Lisa Cope’s PLR Newsletters. You don’t need to subscribe to those memberships to know that you can get outstanding content for next to nothing.

Let’s keep going. Here’s where it gets really interesting, if you ask me.

The main problem is that people have a ton of PLR but they don’t know how to exploit it. They don’t understand the magic of PLR exploitation. It’s like people buy a bunch of lumber, windows, carpet, and wires, but they have no idea how to build a house. There’s no blueprint for success with PLR. This is such a shame because PLR is outstanding raw material — ready to be converted into cash.

Let’s be clear here. Here is the secret…

You have to convert your PLR into something fresh and new. Most people ignore this advice because it seems too simple and obvious. But seriously, you need to know how to re-write content and exploit it properly. You have to know how to twist it into something unique. You have to push and mold that PLR content into something that people are dying to purchase. (We’ve made thousands of dollars following this advice.)

In the next week or so, I’ll be talking a lot about PLR. We’ve put together something that is going to change the way that everyone thinks about PLR.

Before long, you’ll be seeing a lot of people talking about PLR exploitation. It’s something that has never been explained before and you’re going to see it first.  Head back here and stay tuned. We’re in for a wild ride!

How to Set Up an Autoresponder Membership

Posted on March 13th, 2008 in Advice, Customers, Free Business Model, General, Marketing Minesweeper, PLR Club, Simple, Strategies | 1 Comment »

These extensive notes are based on FreeBusinessModel.com — Where you’ll find a 100% free video on setting up an autoresponder membership. There are no strings attached. We’ll ask for your name and email only if you want to learn more advanced internet marketing techniques. (I promise.)

Quick Introduction

Setting up an autoresponder membership web site is easy if you are familiar with common internet marketing tools and techniques. If you’re not, then you might need to invest some time to gain the required technical knowledge. Here, you’ll learn the process of combining an autoresponder with PayPal to create a membership web site.

What You’ll Need

* An autoresponder delivery service (Recommended: AWeber)
* A hosting provider for your sales page (Recommended: BlueHost)
* A PayPal account

How to Set Up and Run Your Autoresponder Membership

There are 8 steps to setting up and running an autoresponder membership:

1. Obtain content (private label rights) or create your own
2. Fill up an autoresponder with content with regular delivery planned
3. Set up a sales page to sell access to the autoresponder content
4. Create a PayPal subscription button
5. Place the PayPal button on the sales page
6. Drive traffic to the sales page (See: 31 Ways to Drive Traffic)
7. When a customer subscribes redirect them to an opt-in page
8. Deliver regular emails to customer via autoresponder

Step 1: You need content for your autoresponder. This is what will be delivered to customers by email. This could be on any topic in any niche. For example, you could regularly deliver information on “herbal medicine” to customers. This content could be private label rights (PLR) material you acquired or it could just be your own content.

Step 2: Using the PLR or your own fresh content, you’ll load up the autoresponder. This is what people are paying for on a regular basis — great content by email.

Step 3: You’ll need a sales page for your autoresponder membership site. If you’re delivering “herbal medicine” content, then your sales page will be about that topic and the benefits of getting emails on a regular basis, e.g., pre-sifted information, direct delivery of content, and easy access via email.

Step 4: You’ll head to PayPal and create a subscription payment button. Creating a PayPal button for subscriptions is relatively easy although it might take some time to navigate through PayPal the first time. The PayPal subscription button is very much like a normal PayPal button; when the customer pays they can be redirected to a web page of your choosing.

Step 5: Place your PayPal subscription button on the sales page your created. Again, when the customer pays, they’ll be sent to a pre-determined landing page. (Described in Step 7.)

Step 6: Drive traffic to your autoresponder membership site. You can use a variety of traffic techniques such as Google Pay-Per-Click or posting to blogs. (Recommended: Fast and Simple Web 2.0 Traffic System)

Step 7: When a customer pays by Paypal, you’ll redirect them to an opt-in page you set up via your autoresponder service, such as AWeber. This opt in page, hosted on your web server, is how you’ll capture email addresses and names of customers. This is how you will know where to send customers their emails. Remember, this is absolutely not spam since they just paid for this content and they are asking to get your emails on a regular basis.

Step 8: Deliver the promised content via your autoresponder. This is almost always handled automatically by your autoresponder. However, you could exert manual control over the delivery by using a broadcast to your members versus pre-determined delivery.

Additional Tips

First, take time to plan out the entire membership before taking action. Make sure that you have a good niche and solid content to work with.

Second, be sure that you have a well-designed and well-written sales page. Some people don’t fully understand “autoresponder memberships” so make the concept very clear. In essence, and autoresponder membership is a way for customers to get smart, trusted emails for a fair price.

Third, The Marketing Minesweeper is an exmaple of an autoresponder membership web site, if you are looking for one. Consider modeling your sales page after The Marketing Minesweeper, at least in terms of how the content is provided to members.

Fourth, if you need PLR content consider The Simple PLR Club. It’s a membership run by the Rhodes Brothers and it offers 3 full reports and sales letters every single month for one low price.

The Best Online Business Opportunity

Posted on December 9th, 2007 in Advice, Customers, PLR Club, Strategies | No Comments »

I’m going to tell you something no one else has told you. The best online business opportunity is the one that you create. That’s right, the right business opportunities are not out there to grab – but they are there for you to create!

If you think you can just spend a few bucks and buy a great online business, you are going to burn a lot of money. You’re setting yourself up for failure.

Listen, this is the truth. You must take control. You must have a vision of the best online business opportunities, and then you must make some choices and take action.

How to Create an Online Business Opportunity Out of Thin Air: 5 Simple Methods

Now that you are jazzed up, let’s talk about how to really create the best business opportunities. Here are some ideas for you.

First, you could purchase private label rights (PLR) products (e.g., PLR newsletters), then update them, and resell them. Private label rights products are those that you can buy and edit any way that you like. You own the rights to manipulate them any way you want. So, you just need to edit the PLR ebook or report that you own and resell it as your own. Bam!

Second, you can purchase PLR products and turn them into offline products. That is, you can buy the ebook or report, do a little editing, and then sell your final product to a local newspaper or magazine. This is a huge opportunity that you can create easily.

Third, you can find a good niche or market, get to know people well through forums and blogs, then offer to write for them. You can become a ghostwriter for web sites, marketers, blogs, and so on. There is incredible demand for content. This is one of the best legitimate online business opportunities available.

Fourth, you can get familiar with a niche or market and create a membership site. Setting up a membership site is not hard. It’s a great way to help people while making a profit. For example, if you know a lot about being a work-at-home mom (WAHM), you could create a paid forum dedicated to helping other WAHMs. You simply charge $5, $10, or even more per month to be part of the club.

Finally, one of the best online business opportunities is consulting. You can simply help people create their own business opportunities out of thin air. You act as an advisor. You help people who need the help. You shouldn’t be surprised at how much you could really help people, and turn a profit.

I’ll summarize by saying that you can generate a lot of money online (and offline) if you go after your passion. I’ve highlighted 5 things you can do today. The best online business opportunity is the one that you create, that fits your passion. Go for it!
