How We Made An Extra $54,000 This Year

Posted on June 14th, 2009 in Advice, Customers, Membership Blueprints, News, Offline, Really Simple Method, Reports, Reselling, Strategies, Web Traffic, listbuilding | 1 Comment »

One of the coolest parts about being an Internet Marketer is the fact that you can quickly implement new ideas and concepts into your business and start measuring the results instantly.

So far this year, we’ve made an extra $54,000 directly due to attending a high-end Internet Marketing seminar – the Earn1KaDay IM Summit. (We expect that we’ll make an extra 6 figures by the end of the year.)

The networking was invaluable, of course, but what was really cool were the different ideas that we pulled out of the seminar. All of the speakers were people (including ourselves) who are making a significant amount of money every single month.

What really interested us, though, was the fact that so many people are making money online in different ways. For example, one of the speakers, Gene Pimentel, researches high quality domain names and then sells them (some to the tune of 5 figures.)

He doesn’t do any backlink building, he just puts a 200 word snippet on his website that says he’s accepting offers, and that’s IT. It’s working out like gangbusters for him.

He includes a step-by-step process of EXACTLY how he did it. We taught a couple people the system (they’ve never made money online before) and it REALLY “sunk in” for them. It’s great if you only have a few minutes per day, and it provides huge income if you do it right.

One of our buddies, Michael Gunn, who also spoke at the Earn1KaDay seminar, is making a killing online, too. If I remember right, he was making a couple thousand per month using his niche domination techniques at the time of the seminar. Fast forward about 5 months, and now he’s dangerously close to the 6 figure mark. VERY cool.

His presentation was absolutely awesome for anyone interested in truly “crushing it” in niche marketing. The really cool part is that he gives you the exact e-mail templates he’s using to make that much money during his presentation, so you can almost just copy and paste.

We applied a couple of these techniques to one of our niche businesses and saw an instant increase in the number of opt-ins and money flowing in.

There were a LOT of other speakers there with great strategies and techniques, but those two really “hit home” for us.

So here’s the deal…Dennis Becker, the owner of Earn1KaDay and the “father” of the Earn1KaDay IM Summit, just put the recording of the summit up for sale. It’s two days of money-making material. John and I got a copy and we’ve both watched it through twice, and some of the presentations we’ve watched 3 or 4 times (Gene’s and Michael’s).

It’s that good.

These are step-by-step techniques you can directly apply to your business, whether you’ve made $0 online or you’re making 6 figures. It WILL take you to the next level.

Go here now and buy it. There’s a couple “special bonus” on the page from John and I, too.

After you buy it, watch the DVDs first and THEN look at the “data disc” that Dennis provides. It’s better than many of the $3,000 DVD home study courses out there.

Start an Internet Business at Home From Scratch

Posted on May 30th, 2009 in Advice, News, Reports, Strategies | No Comments »

Just a quick note…

Marlon Sanders is offering a free report on how he made his first $1,000,000 online. In addition, he explains how he has been able to create a list of just under 200,000 people. (Impressive!)

If you’re trying to figure out how to start an internet business at home from scratch Marlon’s book is a good place to start.

And remember…

It’s FREE.

What’s the catch? (There’s always a catch, right?) Well, it really is free. The catch is that you have to give Marlon your name and email address. That’s it.

By the way, Marlon’s been around a long time. For that reason alone, I have respect for him. “He’s been there, done that.” He’s seen it all. And, in fact, he’s responsible for the success of many internet marketers.

(He does sell some bizarre stuff like Red Factor Matrix #RF8 but most of his material is pretty good.)

So, go grab his free report to learn how he built a list of 200k people. I recommend it.

~ John

I’m happy to announce that Paul Myers has put together a free 112 page report that explains exactly how to get started online.

It’s targeted at internet marketers, entrepreneurs and other folks who are trying to make money online. If you’re just getting started online then this is exactly right place to start. Paul’s brilliant.

(I read everything that he writes.)

Want to know more?

Here’s a table of contents for Paul’s FREE Need to Know Manual:

Chapter 0: The Starting Point – Becoming Unstoppable
Chapter 1: The 5 Things it Takes to Succeed Online
Chapter 2: The 7 Things You Must Include in Everything You do Online
Chapter 3: Cover Your Assets
Chapter 4: Become a “Model” Citizen
Chapter 5: Revenge of the Psycho-Billy Cadillac
Chapter 6: Gimmick, Toy or Tool?
Chapter 7: Of Wombats and Men
Chapter 8: The Most Important Skill
Chapter 9: “Where’s the Party?”
Chapter 10: Winning The Content Contest
Chapter 11: Are You THAT Boring?
Chapter 12: How to be Interesting in Print
Chapter 13: The “THUD!” Factor
Chapter 14: The World is Your Playground
Chapter 15: Ramp it Up!
The Last Word

Here are a few of my favorite quotes:

  • “Success and failure are meaningless concepts, except when measured against the question: Have you achieved the sum of your wants and desires?”
  • “Whatever you’re doing right now, whether it makes you happy or not, is exactly what you want most to be doing right now.”
  • “Knowing how to apply leverage effectively will help make the potential payoffs larger, while keeping the downside risks affordable. That means that one idea that works can quickly cover a lot of ideas that don’t.”(Editor’s Note: You can fail 90% of the time but still get very rich!)
  • “I don’t care how “cool” you think widget-whackers are. It makes no sense to try and sell widget-whackers to people who have no idea what a widget is, or why it should be whacked.”
  • “Benefits exist in the head and the heart. Everything else is a feature.”
  • “I have never seen a business fail because they had too much qualified traffic.”
  • “Focus is the thing that separates the successes from the almosts.” (Here’s a big hint: Learn about the 10x Method)
  • “It is possible to run a business with nothing but a good address book.”
  • Finish first. Polish second.
  • “Grammar Cops and Zombies don’t really offer criticism to help, although they often claim that’s their goal. They’re nitpicking to show they know more than you. This usually happens when you’re doing something they can’t – making a profit and making a difference.”
  • “You need to listen to both individuals and markets. While you do, remember: Individuals sometimes lie. Markets never do.”
  • “When in doubt: Test. When you’re certain: Test anyway.”
  • “When a person expresses an opinion on a thing, he is telling you more about himself than about that thing.”
  • Give people what they want, the way they want it, and you can get almost everything else wrong and still be a success.
  • “Increase the desire and lower the resistance.”
  • “If you can touch it, it’s a feature. If you feel it, it’s a benefit.”
  • “When you make someone laugh, you reset their attention span.”
  • “Expect more than anyone else, and you’ll usually get it.”

…and there are many more.

It’s an excellent report.

Grab it now.

Internet Marketing Affiliate Program Tips

Posted on April 26th, 2009 in Advice, Affiliate Program, Clickbank, General, Membership Blueprints, PLR, PLR Club, Reports, Reselling, Strategies, Traffic Drill, Web Traffic | No Comments »

Finding a great internet marketing affiliate program is a daunting task. There are literally tens of thousands of internet marketing products available on the market, many of which have affiliate programs. So, how do you find the best one for your website or list?

The best internet marketing affiliate programs have the following characteristics:

* They track multiple sales. If you send a visitor to a merchant’s products, is your affiliate ID cookied (attached to that particular visitor) for future sales? A smart merchant will always follow up with visitors about upsells and offers, and you should be getting the credit for all of those sales.

* Sales are tracked for months, not days. Your affiliate tag on a customer shouldn’t expire for at least 30 days. Many merchants set a limit on how long a customer is “tagged” for, and if they purchase after this tag runs out, you no longer make any commissions from sales of that customer. The best internet marketing affiliate programs last for 60 days or more.

* You’re making a significant amount per sale. There’s no sense promoting a product if you’re not making at least $10 to $15 per sale. It’s barely worth your time. You should also be making at least 50% of the sale price. Some merchants offer 70% commissions or more.

* High conversion rates. If a product doesn’t convert, there’s no sense in promoting it. Also remember that lower priced products should convert much better than higher priced products. Track your numbers to make sure that you’re maximizing the value of each visitor you send.

* Pre-sales funnel built in. Many great internet marketing affiliate programs have a follow-up system built on that drastically increase conversion rates. This means more money in your pocket. It is also easier to promote these products because you’re offering “free content” to your website or list, not a sales pitch.

* Recurring commissions. Only a small percentage of programs out there offer recurring commissions, but getting customers into a recurring billing membership is invaluable because many customers will pay you for years to come, month after month. However, conversion rates for memberships are typically lower. Be sure to track your results carefully!

The Rhodes Brothers Affiliate Program offers multiple product affiliate tracking, high conversion rates, and pre-sales funnels ready to sell YOUR website customers or list. Click here to check it out.

Finding A Ghostwriter That Fits

Posted on January 23rd, 2009 in Advice, Customers, EzineArticles, PLR, Really Simple Method, Reports, Strategies | No Comments »

Guest Article By Cori Padgett

Finding a ghostwriter can be tough sometimes, especially if you have never hired one before and have no idea what to look for. You’ll probably get a ton of well meaning advice on places to look, and what you should pay for one, what’s too much, what’s not enough, and the list goes on!

A lot of people when first starting to outsource work have a fear of the unknown, and it stops them from taking a leap. But outsourcing can be so critical to your success and peace of mind once your business really starts to take off. Especially if you aren’t much of a writer yourself, or simply don’t like to write, outsourcing to a ghostwriter can be a huge weight off of your shoulders.

So How To Find A Quality Ghostwriter?

When asking this question, folks may send you at first to places like GetAFreelancer.com or Guru.com where you can hire freelancers to do whatever work you are requiring. These can be great places to find services at cheap prices, and is great for finding people to help with administrative tasks. Occasionally you can find good writers there as well, I am definitely not knocking them.

However, when you are looking for a writer you should be looking for someone who has built up a good reputation, and can show you examples of top quality work. You may not always find that on a lot of the freelance sites.

The best way to find a good ghostwriter is through word of mouth or referrals. You can bet that if you find a writer through word of mouth, it is because they have proven themselves and their clients are very happy, and spreading the word.

Check out forums, and see who people may be talking about or recommending. Message boards are good too. Just ask around and see who people point you to. If your shoved in the direction of a certain writer fairly regularly, it’s probably a good bet they are well qualified to write for you.

Found A Potential Ghostwriter – Now What?

So you have found a possible writer, and aren’t sure where to go next. The first thing you will want to do is contact them, obviously. Request a quote based on the project you are looking to have written. Also request samples from them. A good writer will always have samples of past work they can provide to you as proof of their quality.

However, be careful, some writers are unscrupulous and will send you bogus work as their samples, and then when actually asked to write your stuff, it comes back as crap! The best way to avoid this is to not only ask for samples already written, but also ask them to write a short sample article on the topic of your choice. Unless they are already an extremely well known writer whose work speaks for itself, they shouldn’t have a problem doing this for you.

Also check out their website. If they are serious about their work, then they will have a website up regarding their services. Check out the site, see if it has samples available, if it looks professional, and if they have a photo available introducing themselves.

If you decide you like this ghostwriter, and their style meshes well with what you are trying to accomplish, you will then want to draw up a simple ghostwriters agreement with them, just so you both have a record of the terms of agreement. That’s simply good business, so don’t be worried about asking them to do so. If they are unwilling find another writer!

How Much Is Too Much?

Once you have found your writer, and requested their quote, how much is too much? That can only be determined by you. Some folks will say that only expensive writers are quality writers, and all the cheap ones write in broken English. Others take the opposing stance and won’t pay for a writer that charges more than 6 bucks an article.

It all depends on you and what you are comfortable with. In my experience, expensive doesn’t always mean better, but neither do want to shell out money for a cheap writer who doesn’t deliver. Sometimes, when paying a higher price you may be paying not only for quality writing, but also for excellent customer service and timely work. Yes it’s nice to be able to cut costs and save some money, but hiring your ghostwriter may not be the ideal place to cut corners.

Consider the fact that perception plays a huge role in how people judge you or your product. It only makes sense to invest in a quality ghostwriter that is going to represent you or your product in the absolute best light possible.

To Recap…

Do your due diligence. Ask around, get referrals, find a writer with a great reputation. Request samples and quotes, as well as a ghost writer agreement. Don’t mistake expensive for better, but don’t think cheap is always going to cut it! And finally, go with your gut. If you don’t feel comfortable handing that person your money to complete a job for you, then don’t. Keep looking until you find a ghostwriter that is the perfect fit for YOU.
